General Questions

1. How long will it take to get my order?
Orders without a personalized plate usually ship 1-2 days after being placed. Orders with customization usually ship 2-3 days after being placed. Most orders are shipped via UPS ground service. We have no control over shipping times for UPS but make every effort to have your order to you within 5 days.

2. Can I buy Opus Americana in stores?
We currently do not sell any edition in stores. You can only buy Opus Americana online via our website.

3. Can I order a custom edition in large quantities?
We can customize the exterior of the book for large orders (Minimum 200 Magnus or 500 Standard Editions). We can, for example, custom engrave your institutions logo on the personalization plate, change the color of the leather, or even make a custom box. Please contact us for more details and a price estimate.

4. Is it possible to combine shipments?
No, it is not possible to combine shipments as our shipping boxes only allow for one book per box.

5. How do I cancel an order?
If your order has not been shipped, you can cancel your order by calling us at: (813) 774-6621. If your order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. We cannot accept cancellations on items with personalization.

6. I ordered an item and then I received the wrong item in my shipment.
If you received the wrong item in your shipment, please contact us by calling: (813) 774-6621. We will correct the mistake at no cost to you.

7. I would like to place an order but my credit card was declined. What should I do?
Opus Americana is not able to contact your bank regarding any declined credit cards. You will need to contact your bank directly to resolve any payment issues. Please call us at (813) 774-6621 to place an order.

8. Is your website secure?
Yes, we use a secure server and encrypt all information to guarantee your privacy. We do not store credit card numbers information.

9. How do I designate an order as a gift?
You may send the items in your shopping cart to different addresses. We also offer personalization on which you can send a personalized message to the recipient. All of our editions ship in individual shipping boxes and our packing slips do not contain pricing information. We do not offer gift wrapping at this time for any edition.

10. How do I place an order online?
Select all of the items you would like to purchase and add to them your shopping cart. Once you are finished shopping, click on Assign Recipients to start the checkout process.

11. Will I receive an email with my tracking information?
Yes, you will receive an email with your tracking information once your order has been processed. You will receive a second email confirming your shipping confirmation.

12. Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, we charge sales tax for all residents in the state of Florida.

13. May I place an order over the telephone?
Yes, please contact us at 813.774.6621 and we will take your order over the phone. Please have your credit card information ready before calling.

14. Do you accept checks or money orders for your book?
In certain cases, we will accept checks or money orders for our book. The check or money order must be sent to us and the check or money order funds must be processed before your order will be processed. Please call us for more information at 813.774.6621.

15. How do you figure the cost of your books?
All of our books (content, printing, bindings, etc.) are made in America. The cost to do business with American companies is higher than it would be to do business with an overseas company. We decided the quality of our American vendors and the fact that the books would be made in America would be worth the cost to our customers. Also, we used the highest quality products we could find when producing our books which also factors into our cost structure.

16. I made a mistake when placing my order. What should I do?
Please contact us right away to fix your mistake by calling 813.774.6621.

17. I keep trying to call but I only get your voice mail.
We make every attempt to answer every phone call in a timely manner. But, due to the large number of calls, we cannot answer every call. Please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. Or you can contact us via our email contact form or directly by emailing info@opusamericana.com.

18. Why can’t I find this book in stores or on other websites?
Due to the fact that this book is entirely self published and being a new company, it is not cost effective to offer this book in stores at this time.

19. My shipping address is a PO Box. I know that UPS does not ship to PO Boxes. Can I still order one of your books?
Yes, please contact us via phone at 813.774.6621 or by email at info@opusamericana.com and we can assist you with placing your order. At this time our system is only set up to accept orders for UPS, so we will have to take your order manually via phone or email. We will need to have your credit card information to place your order so phone may be best for placing an order for PO Boxes.

20. I would like to order this book for my young child or grandchild. What is the reading level of this book?
We would like to think that everything in our book is being taught in schools at a young age as it is important for children to learn about our great nation. With that being said, our book is very easy to read with short stories of historic events and not too much content as to bore or overwhelm the reader.
